Survivorship 101

Survivorship 101 Class

  • For adult survivors of any cancer, no matter where they were treated.
  • Once a week sessions for 9 weeks, from recovery to renewal.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their caregiver.
  • If you are under 45 years of age, check out our “Under 45” class here.

Survivorship 101 is your next step towards finding balance and reopening your world after being focused on your treatment for so long. These weekly sessions provide practical guidance for your next steps, including research-based advice on topics like side effects, nutrition, exercise, reducing stress and improving intimacy. You will work with a specially-trained, professional facilitator in a small group setting with other survivors who understand your journey like no one else can. Nearly 1,000 participants in a ten-year evaluation study reported Survivorship 101 helped reduce depression and anxiety, while increasing hope, resilience, quality of life and happiness.

  • While we can help survivors during their treatment, regular attendance is essential to get the full benefit of the program. Most participants find it works best after treatment when they feel able to attend most of the sessions. If needed, you may end participation at any time.
  • Patients with recurrent or metastatic disease are welcome to join us as your health permits.
  • Did your treatment end months or years ago, but you’re still struggling? Please join us!

Thanks to generous support from our sponsors and donors, our Survivorship 101 Class is FREE to attend. We ask only for your time and commitment. Give this gift to yourself, and contact us today. Questions? Call 402-401-6083.
