Kim's Story
Cancer during the pandemic ...
"It was probably the worst situation imaginable, " Kim said. "For some reason, I had an inner nagging feeling that I needed to have this done," Kim said. Brenda's Story
Cancer doesn't always pause your life. Sometimes, it puts it in fast forward! That's what happened with breast cancer survivor Brenda Helget. She went in for an annual mammogram in October of 2016. Within one month, she’d gotten a biopsy, received a cancer diagnosis, sold her house, moved, and was going in for her first chemotherapy appointment. Click here to read more,
Shannon's Story
Shannon felt something was wrong. She didn’t know exactly what it was, but she was determined to find out. After multiple appointments, her persistence confirmed her suspicions. Shannon was not even 40 years old when she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Click here to read more,
Kari's Story
In the summer of 2021, Kari went in for her annual mammogram, which came back clean. She thought she was fine. Thenshe performed a quick self-exam in the shower one day and found a lump. Kari’s radiologist was blunt; if she had waited until her next mammogram, it would have been too late.

Rovella's Story
After months of struggling with recurring UTIs, Rovella's doctors finally found the cause of her infections. She had tumors around her urethra and bladder that came from cancerous ovarian cells. Jeanne's Story
Jeanne had support during her cancer from her sister, Donna, who phoned every night for six months. "Jeanne was telling me about this group class, and others had their support person, but she said 'I don't have a support person.'" Kay's Story
